Vocaloid lecture
YAMAHA is a Japanese company that makes instruments. They produce things ranging from classic violins, pianos and trumpets to contemporary electric guiter and synthesizers. I have a friend from the orchestra club at university who works there. Recently he became very famous, as he developed Vocaloid. One day I was invited to his lecture meeting in Kyoto. When I was there, I was surprised that the audience was all young boys in their 20s, and they were very serious. Sometimes the speaker told jokes, but it was only me that was laughing. I was really out of place, but the lecture was very interesting. He said that with Vocaloid, anybody can compose music, make the virtual characters sing, and that would be a big epoch for music.
