About 15 years ago, I was teaching at a language school in Kyoto and met a Thai man in the basic level class. After finishing the language school, he began to work as a chef at his Thai restaurant. Then he got married a Japanese lady, and they had a baby girl. Now the girl goes to school. Time flies. My family and I sometimes visit his restaurant. He still addresses me as, "Sensei!!" That recalls the whole classroom and the students at that time to me.
