Kansai dialect

Kansai Region
Kyoto is located in Kansai Region, which contains Osaka, Nara and Kobe. One day when I asked, "Do you know any Kansai dialect?", a student answered, "'Hen', there is 'hen', Mrs. Shiomi!" At first, I didn't understand him because just "hen" means "strange" in Japanese. But later it proved out that he meant a conjugation of a verb ending. The negative "nai" turns into "hen" in Kansai dialect. For example, "tabenai(not eat)" is "tabehen", "wakaranai(not understand)" is "wakarahen".
